Since China's reform and opening up, especially in the past decade, the hardware industry and enterprises have greatly shortened their distance from the world in terms of scale, management, efficiency, product variety, quality, grade, production equipment, technical means, and methods, and even surpassed international standards in some aspects. In 2005, the total import and export volume of China's hardware products reached 38.597 billion US dollars, a year-on-year increase of 23.63%. Among them, the total export value was 30.512 billion US dollars, a year-on-year increase of 26.44%. The Chinese hardware industry is developing at an annual growth rate of 20%, with an annual total output value of 400 billion yuan, higher than the home appliance industry. The export value of China's entire light industry accounts for about 25% of the total national export value, and the export value of the hardware industry ranks in the top three of the light industry. China's hardware products are almost ubiquitous in every corner of the world, and China is becoming a veritable hardware industry powerhouse.
